Emergency Assistance to Republic of Palau in Response to the Typhoon Disaster

The Japan International Cooperation Agency will provide emergency relief goods as below in response to the damages caused by Typhoon upon the request from the Government of Palau.

1. Disaster situation
Typhoon, which landed on 16th April 2021, has been causing serious property damage. According to Palau Gavernment, the damage situation as of 20th April was as follows:
Evacuees: about 330 people
Damaged houses: about 220 houses

2. Goods supplied
A. Emergency relief goods (from the JICA warehouse in Palau)
Polyester Tank
Water purifiers
Generator

B. Shipping schedule
The goods will be released from the JICA warehouse in Palau and provided immediately.
