- Third Country Training Program (TCTP): A training program provided for people from other developing and neighboring countries by Indonesian organization, that has capacity or has been fostered through a past Japanese technical cooperation, to support the south-south cooperation
- JOCV: Junior Expert, a skilled young Japanese who possesses a passion to work voluntarily and share the same lifestyle within communities in grass root levels for strengthening the friendship and relationship between Japan and Indonesia
- SV: Silver Expert, a senior Japanese who are also motivated by volunteer spirit and equipped with in-depth knowledge and abundant experience in diverse fields to actively support the nation-building and human development in Indonesia
- TCP: Technical Cooperation Project, which is an agreed cooperation activity between JICA and its Indonesian counterpart(s) within a certain timeframe
- CEP: Community Empowerment Program, which is a cooperation activity to support community empowerment and development in grass root areas through collaboration with Indonesian Non Government/Profit Organizations (NGOs/NPOs) through the endorsement of related government
