JICA has been provided the training program on "Promotion of Iranian Legal System" since 2004 with counterpart of Iranian Judiciary under collaboration with the Center for Asian Legal Exchange, Nagoya University, Japan. Since beginning of this program, 45 Iranian judicial officials have been invited at Nagoya University.
A consultation study team headed by Professor Masanori AIKYO, Graduated School of Law, Nagoya University, visited Tehran from August 7, 2009 through Aug 13, for the purpose of studying on training needs, programs and planning for forth coming three years extension period.
As the Government of Japan, Japanese Foreign Affairs Minister and Justice Minister exchanged point of views on judiciary and human rights with Iranian judiciary in February 2008. JICA's training program on "Promotion of Iranian Legal System" has been implementing in line with the policy dialogue of both governments.
The consultation study team and Iranian judiciary concluded to put a step forward to further three years more training program.
