Kansai Center

JICA Kansai Center (JICA Kansai) is located in Kobe City, Hyogo prefecture in Kansai region which covers Shiga, Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, Wakayama and Hyogo. Kansai region is known for its cultural and historical values that include World Cultural Heritage sites such as Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto, Nara and Himeji-jo Castle.

JICA Kansai focuses on Knowledge Co-Creation Programs (KCCP) in the field of disaster risk reduction, environment management, industrial development, together with other fields. More than 1,500 participants from over 150 countries stay in and around the Center every year to join KCCP.

Aside from KCCP, JICA Kansai conducts various activities such as JICA Partnership Program (grass-root technical cooperation), partnership with Japanese private sector, supports for JICA volunteers, education for international understanding and others.
