AWMC Meeting

The Anzali Wetland Management Committee facilitates the improvement of planning, co-ordination, conservation and management of the Anzali Wetland, with the objective of achieving the sustainable and wise use of the wetland. The 1st Anzali Wetland Management Committee meeting was held chaired by Guilan Provincial Governor, with the participation of the Japanese Ambassador on 6th July 2011 at Guilan Provincial Governor's office. Mr. Saadati, the Governor of Guilan Province, officially declared the establishment of the Anzali Wetland Management Committee, The Anzali Declaration will be presented at COP 11 of Ramsar Convention in June 2012, Romania. The Guilan Provincial Governor signed on the decree on establishment of the Anzali Wetland Management Committee, and the committee meetings are going to be regularly held as an official provincial committee meeting.
