A ground-breaking ceremony attended by the heads of state of five EAC nations of Uganda, Burundi, Kenya and Tanzania
This Project is for upgrading the road between Athi River in Kenya and Arusha in Tanaznia. This road is a part of an international corridor connecting Egypt and South Africa, and is recognized as an important corridor for the East African Community (EAC).
Low-interest loan for the construction works in Kenya is provided by the African Development Bank and that in Tanzania is mainly provided by JICA.
