The booklet of 69 outstanding startups in the NINJA Business Plan Competition is now available!

JICA conducted "NINJA* Business Plan Competition in response to COVID 19" in 19 countries in the African region to support startups that create innovative business models and technologies in the post-Corona era and finally 69 startups were selected from 2,713 applicants.

We have created a digital booklet that introduces the company profiles and business models of the 69 startups which come from a wide range of industries, including medicine, agriculture, logistics, education, and finance. All of the startups have innovative business models that address social issues unique to Africa, such as a smallholders support platform using drones and satellites, an AI-based genome analysis system for Covid-19, and a portable, low-cost ultrasound device for expectant mothers.
In addition, there is a report on the final round of the business plan competition, "Analysis of the Africa Startup Industry" and messages from Japanese companies.
