On October 9, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a grant agreement with the Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica inRoseau, to provide grant aid of up to 1.072 billion yen for the Project for the Rehabilitation of Fishery Buildings and Equipment in Roseau and Marigot.
Under this project, fishery facilities and equipment damaged by Hurricane Maria in September 2017 will be restored and replaced. It is expected that this project will contribute to the revitalization of the fishery industry in the Commonwealth of Dominica. This project will contribute to the achievement of SDGs Goal 14.
