On January 9, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a loan agreement with the Government of the Republic of Indonesia in Jakarta to provide a Japanese ODA loan of up to 27.97 billion yen for the Infrastructure Reconstruction Sector Loan in Central Sulawesi.
In Central Sulawesi, which was damaged by an earthquake that struck on Sept. 28, 2018, JICA is rebuilding and constructing infrastructure based on the Build Back Better concept aiming at building disaster-resilient communities. This project will contribute to the achievement of SDGs Goal 9, 11.
