On February 18, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a loan agreement with the Government of the Republic of Indonesia in Jakarta to provide a Japanese ODA loan of up to 31.8 billion yen for the Disaster Resilience Enhancement And Management Program.
Natural disasters occur frequently in Indonesia and the government is doing its utmost to reinforce measures and strategies to prevent such calamities. JICA is supporting the improvement of policies and systems in the field of disaster prevention, and is providing assistance to create a society that is capable of withstanding natural disasters. This program will contribute to the achievement of SDGs Goals 11 and 13.
