![]() Today, our world is facing more complex and diverse threats than ever before. While existing challenges including armed conflicts and natural disasters are becoming more acute and the impact of COVID-19 pandemic is still casting a shadow on our society and economy, the energy and food crises triggered by the Ukraine crisis have been added. Longstanding challenges, such as climate change, are also accumulating. In these times of compound crises, the importance of "human security" is increasing to protect people's lives, livelihoods, and dignity by connecting people and countries through trust and cooperation among diverse actors with a broad perspective.
