On Aug. 27, 2019, JICA Research Institute Director Izumi Ohno participated in a side event, “Africa’s Socio-economic Transformation through Innovation,” organized by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD). The event was held during the Seventh Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD7) 2019 in the city of Yokohama, Japan. Ohno served as moderator for a panel discussion.
