The Implementation of Pipe Jacking Technology of the Project for Flood Protection and Drainage Improvement in Phnom Penh Capital Phase 4

On Friday, 6 of December, 2019, 20 officers from MPWT visited the project site of Flood Protection and Drainage improvement in Phnom Penh Capital City Phase 4, which is applying the Jacking Method for sewer pipe (D=800mm, L=1580m). The engineers of Toa Construction explained the Jacking Method to the officers, at the bottom of the shaft where the jacking machine was working.

Recently, such a non-open cut method (tunnel method) is widely applied in urban area, which has not enough space for construction and/or traffic congestion. We hope that this method will be well understood and technical transfer will be realized through this project.
