The alumnus event was organized by the Cameroonian alumnus association(Association des Anciens stagiaires de la JICA, ADAS)in Yaoundé on February 7, 2018. Five alumni, who attended training courses in Japan, presented their results of studies and outcomes. At this event, over 20 members of ADAS gathered for this meeting and exchanged their opinions actively. ADAS, established in 2007 and celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, conducts annual meeting, publishes magazines and shares information among members.
Through the Knowledge Co-Creation Program of JICA, around 1,200 Cameroonians had opportunities to attend trainings of various topics held in Japan and other countries. JICA provides opportunities to Cameroonians not only to learn Japanese technologies, but also to deepen their understandings about Japan and Japanese people. Many Cameroonians return to their own country with passion to act as the bridge between Cameroon and Japan. They are expected to contribute better society and economy of Cameroon.
