The send-off ceremony for two participants of ABE Initiative 5th batch was held in Yaoundé on 22 August 2018.

The ceremony began with a greeting from Ms. Masuda, the Resident Representative of JICA Cameroon office, followed by an encouraging speech from His Excellency Mr. Okamura, the Ambassador of Japan in Cameroon. In addition, Mr. Arrey Smith, Deputy section chief of the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Regional Development, appreciated Japanese cooperation and expressed his expectation for the participants' contribution to economic development of Cameroon with the knowledge gained through participation in ABE initiative upon their return.

Mr. Abeme, who will study at Graduate School of Information Technology, Kobe Institute of Computing, declared to devote himself to studying as a representative of Cameroon.

Mr. Ndiabamoh, who will study at Nagasaki University, mentioned that he would achieve his own growth in the study area of tropical medicine.
