During the 11th Joint Conference of the Japan-Egypt & Egypt-Japan Business Councils and Japan-Egypt Investment Forum, Chief Representative of JICA Egypt Office, Mr. Yoshifumi Omura made a presentation titled "The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) for Tourism Development and Investment Promotion" to explain how the establishment of GEM would contribute to the tourism promotion and economic development in Egypt.

The following day, the Japanese and Egyptian delegation paid a visit to the GEM Conservation Center and the GEM Construction site accompanied with JICA Egypt Office's members.

JICA will continuously support GEM, which will be a new symbol for the Egyptian Japanese long history of friendship and cooperation.
