JICA President Shinichi Kitaoka met with Hery Rajaonarimampianina, the president of Madagascar, on Dec. 5 in Tokyo.
Mr. Kitaoka began the conversation by welcoming Mr. Rajaonarimampianina to Japan for his first visit. Mr. Rajaonarimampianina thanked Mr. Kitaoka for JICA's cooperation and said he has great hopes for future cooperation.
The two men next discussed past cooperation and what it has achieved, as well as future plans.
JICA will continue providing cooperation to Madagascar in diverse areas including agriculture, rural development, infrastructure and education.
