Emergency Assistance to the Republic of Indonesia in Response to the Earthquake Disaster

Japan International Cooperation Agency will provide emergency relief goods as below in response to the request from the Government of the Republic of Indonesia following the damage caused by the recent earthquake in the country.

1. Disaster situation

The magnitude 6.5 earthquake that occurred on December 7, 2016 in Pidie Jaya, Ache in the Republic of Indonesia caused serious human and property damage.
Extent of the damage as of Dec. 13 (according to the local government)

Dead 102
Evacuated 85,133

2. Goods Supplied

A. Emergency Relief goods (from the JICA Singapore warehouse)

B. Shipping schedule
The emergency relief goods are planned to be transported from the JICA Singapore warehouse on a plane chartered by the Government of Indonesia.
