Emergency Assistance to Madagascar in Response to Plague Outbreak

The Japan International Cooperation Agency will provide emergency relief goods as below in response to the request from the Government of Madagascar regarding the plague outbreak.
1. Situation
Plague, which is prevalent since the end of August , has been causing serious damage. According to the Madagascar Health authority, the damage situation as of October 23 was as follows:

Cases 1,192

2. Goods supplied
A. Emergency relief goods
Blankets
Non-contact Thermometers
Masks

B. Shipping schedule
The goods will be transported to Antananarivo on the next available flight.
