Emergency Assistance to the Bushfires in Australia

The Japan International Cooperation Agency will provide emergency relief goods as below in response to a request from the Government of Australia relating to the bushfires.

1. Disaster situation
The bushfires has caused serious human and property damage. According to the Government of Australia. The damage situation as of 14th January was as follows:
Deaths 28 people
Burned houses more than 2,500 houses
Burned forest area more than 10 million hectares

2. Goods supplied
A. Emergency relief goods
Masks

B. Shipping schedule
The goods will be transported to Sydney on the next available flight.
