The Japan International Cooperation Agency will provide emergency relief goods as below in response to a request from the Government of Zimbabwe relating to the Cyclone Damage.

1. Disaster situation
The cyclone occurred around the middle of March, has caused serious human and property damage. According to OCHA, the damage situation as of 29 March was as follows:

Deaths: 181
Injured: 175
Affected: 270,000
Missing: 330
Evacuees: 4,500

2. Goods supplied
A. Emergency relief goods
Tents
Plastic sheets
Portable jerry cans
Water purifiers
Flocculants
Generators

B. Shipping schedule
The goods will be transported from the JICA warehouse to Harare on the next available flight.
