Focus on African Development (TICAD V)

Focus on African Development (TICAD V)

The Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) V will be held in June 2013, in Yokohama, Japan. The conference meets for the fifth time this year, marking the twentieth anniversary of the TICAD process, which was launched in 1993 as a Japanese initiative with the aim of attracting global attention to the continent’s problems and needs. We’d like to shed some light on Africa’s challenges and potential by introducing JICA’s wide range of cooperation on the continent, which is increasingly attracting attention from the world in recent years.
