On September 3, 2014, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has selected individuals, groups and projects as recipient of “the 10th JICA President Commendation” in recognition of its outstanding contribution to the development of human resources, society and the economy of developing countries.
This year, 7 projects and 2 individuals will be awarded as “The JICA President Award” (*1), and 22 individuals and 7 groups as “The JICA Recognition Award”(*2). The list of recipients is attached.
Akihiko Tanaka, President of JICA, will present the certificate of the Commendation and the tribute to the recipients. On Monday, October 6, 2014, JICA will invite the recipients living in Japan and hold a ceremony for the Commendation at the International Conference Hall in JICA Ichigaya Building.
(*1) The JICA President Award is awarded to projects, experts or volunteers to honor its outstanding results for JICA’s activities.
(*2) The JICA Recognition Award is awarded to individuals or groups to express JICA’s gratitude for the cooperation and/or long-standing contribution to JICA/JICA’s activities.
