On November 23, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a Record of Discussions with the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Nay Pyi Taw for the Project on Improvement of Institutional Capacity for Foot and Mouth Disease Control, a technical cooperation project.
The project aims to strengthen the institutional capacity for foot and mouth disease (FMD) control by enhancing the production of FMD vaccines in Yangon and supporting proper and accurate FMD diagnosis and epidemiological surveys.
