On November 28, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a Record of Discussions with the Government of the Argentine Republic in Buenos Aires for “Project for Development of Inclusive Value Chains Oriented to the Market with OVOP Argentina Concept”, a technical cooperation project.
The project aims to develop inclusive and market-oriented value chains through strengthening capabilities of Ministry of Health and Social Development and promoting local products utilizing local specialties in northern area of Argentina. The concept of “One Village One Product (OVOP)” movement that originates in Oita Prefecture in Japan will be adopted to the context of Argentina for its local development.
