On December 26 2018, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a Record of Discussions with the Government of the Republic of Indonesia in Jakarta for the Project for Development of Regional Disaster Risk Resilience Plan in Central Sulawesi, technical cooperation for development planning, and then, has just started the Project from early January.
As a follow up action for commitment made between the Minister of National Development Planning and President of JICA in October, after an earthquake struck Central Sulawesi Province on September 28, 2018, JICA has supported the formulation of Reconstruction Master Plan. On the basis of this master plan, the project aims to promote appropriate and efficient reconstruction projects and develop infrastructures and communities that are more disaster-resilient through the formulation and implementation of Regional Disaster Risk Resilience Plan.
