On October 29, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a Record of Discussions with the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in Dhaka for the Project for Establishment of Clearing House for Integrating Transport Ticketing System in Dhaka City Area (Phase II), a technical cooperation project.

The project supports the integration of the fare ticket systems of several transport operators in Dhaka, including MRT line 6, which will be constructed with the support of a Japanese yen loan.
