Signing of Record of Discussions on Technical Cooperation Project with Myanmar: The Project for Capacity Development of Road and Bridge Operation and Maintenance

On November 4, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a Record of Discussions with the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Naypyidaw for the Project for Capacity Development of Road and Bridge Operation and Maintenance, a technical cooperation project.

The project aims to improve the maintenance cycle of roads and bridges through development in the skills of the engineers in the Ministry of Construction.

Specific project details (provisional) Organize the system/structure, and enhance the skills of the maintenance engineers in the Ministry of Construction through establishing methods and procedures of inspection, evaluation, and recording, then preparing the annual maintenance plan, thereby ultimately contributing to the improvement of the maintenance cycle of roads and bridges.
