Signing of Grant Agreement with Palestine: Contributing to the improvement of medical care services and health finance through the provision of medical equipment

On February 24, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed a grant agreement with the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah, to provide grant aid of up to 1.955 billion yen for the Project for the Improvement of Medical Equipment.

The project aims to strengthen the capacity for diagnosis and treatment of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) at core hospitals in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip through the supply of medical equipment for countermeasures against NCDs. This project is expected to contribute to the improvement of the quality of health care services and the normalization of health finance in Palestine. This project will contribute to the achievement of SDGs Goal 3.
