Closing ceremony of the 8th batch Kaizen training

The closing ceremony of the 8th batch training of kaizen has taken place at Ethiopian Kaizen Institute.

Fourteen participants (12 men and 2 women) drawn from Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Agencies and centers from five regions (Oromia, Benishangul, Somali, Dire Dawa and Addis Ababa cities) were involved in the three months training. According to the organizers the one month theoretical and conceptual training was followed by two months practical sessions working with Small and Micro Enterprises (SMEs).

Mr. Kimiaki Jin, Chief Representative of JICA Ethiopia underlined that the support of the government of Japan to Ethiopia through introducing the philosophy of Kaizen is getting recognition and brining significant change in different private and public sectors.

The representative of the Federal TVET Agency mentioned that the training will bring up the number of trained manpower in the area. He asked the participants to contribute towards transferring the knowledge and skills acquired to more than 13 thousand TVET trainers all over the country.

Yayehyirad Eshete, who participated in the training from Dire Dawa TVET Agency, reported that the training has given him the required knowledge and skills so as to help him train others and consult implementation of Kaizen in his town.
