Ethiopia is among the first in the world to develop a KAIZEN training course to certify and accredit consultants. On April 25, 2018, the first nineteen KAIZEN consultants to complete the Certification Accreditation and Registration System (CARS) program were awarded certificates.
As Ethiopia grows in the industrial sector, there is an increasing need to guarantee the quality, productivity and competitiveness of the manufacturing sector; KAIZEN plays a huge role in achieving these competencies on the factory floor and at management levels.
CARS, developed with the cooperation of JICA experts, will ensure the quality of consulting services provided by the Ethiopian Kaizen Institute (EKI). The program requires consultants to be proficient in industrial technologies, production, scheduling, economic engineering and ethical codes, to name a few points.
