GDN Ninth Annual Conference (Brisbane)
The Ninth Global Development Conference was held January 29th - 31st, 2008 in Brisbane, Australia under the theme "Security for Development: Confronting Threats to Survival and Safety".
Among the prominent participants at this conference were Paul Collier, Professor of Economics and Director, Center for the Study of African Economies, Oxford University whose latest book is "The Bottom Billion", and Michael Spence, Professor Emeritus of Stanford University also Nobel Laureate in Economics.
