Ms. Harada Satomi official supporter of JICA Chubu, Japan visited Kyrgyzstan and loved activities of the "One Village One Product" movement.

From 3 - 8 July 2017, Ms. Harada Satomi official supporter of the JICA Chubu Nagoya Office, Center of Hiroba visited the Kyrgyz Republic.

Ms. Harada has been concerning to environmental issues and human rights, she is the owner of a shop which based on the principles of Fairtrade and Ethical Fashion.

The purpose of Ms. Harada's visit was to get acquainted with the activities of the JICA Kyrgyz Republic office in business promotion, through the OVOP movement for further dissemination of this information in Japan. She visited the producers of the felt products. Ms. Harada shared that, thanks to support from JICA, the Association of producers was established, design and quality of the products was improved, which meets international standards. The products made by women in the villages are handmade and has no analogues. Women in the villages are mainly engaged in households and do not have the opportunity to receive additional income. After joining the movement of the OVOP, women were involved in the production of felt, food products, soap, etc., so they had an additional source of income. Ms. Harada convinced that the movement of the OVOP helps to improve the standard of living in the villages, in particular for women in rural areas.

For her it was an unforgettable stay in Kyrgyz Republic, because she met with lovely women and wonderful nature. Ms. Harada said I would be a strong supporter to Kyrgyz Republic. She has started to introduce her experience of visit the Kyrgyz Republic to the public in Nagoya city.
