A meeting of Chief Representative of JICA in the KR, Kikuchi, and Prime Minister of KR, Isakov, took place on January 19th. The Prime Minister expressed sincere gratitude to Japanese people, Japanese Government, and JICA for long-lasting cooperation. He also expressed hope for further development of economic relations, noting an importance of attraction of large Japanese investments. He informed on ongoing and planned reforms, and new development strategy "40 steps to New Era". A big attention was paid to implementation of the "Taza-Koom" program.
Chief Representative of JICA expressed further intention for cooperation, especially in human resource development of the country. He also informed that this year is very important for JICA as it is planned to revise its 5-year cooperation strategy with Kyrgyz Republic. In this regard, an open dialogue between high level officials is very important and indispensable element for aligning common directions for cooperation.
