Cattle raising management – Haylage Production.

On July 7, 2018 JICA Market Oriented Milk Production (MOMP) Project organized the seminar on topic "Cattle raise management – Haylage production" in Tosh-Bulak village, Sokuluk district, Chuy region. The purpose of the seminar was to collect and share information concerning cattle feeding management, in particular haylage-making procedures. The lecturer was the Japanese expert on cattle feeding Mr. Nakatani Masayoshi. The seminar was attended by farmers from Milk Union and Livestock Association, representatives from "Kant Sut" (Milk) and "Bishkek Sut" (Milk).

During the seminar, the expert provided information concerning silo storage preparation. Participants also learned how to make haylage using handmade lactic acid bacteria for the fermentation improvement. Many farmers showed great interest in the seminar and were eager to learn more about cattle raising management (especially about fodder composition and feeding ratio).

Participants' feedback: "This seminar was very informative and practical; we were able to improve our knowledge in making the haylage. We will be happy if the JICA MOMP Project will keep organize different seminars, we have a great desire to gain new knowledge and experience. "
