Opening Ceremony of the Workshop

As part of annual management cycle of Third Country Training Programme (TCTP) in partnership with Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP), a workshop was held for the Training Institutes of TCTP in Malaysia, which was co-hosted by Ministry of Foreign Affairs Malaysia (MFA) and JICA Malaysia Office.

In the Workshop, a briefing was made by MFA and JICA, with regard to the outcome of the implementation in the last year and the plan of this year, in which the participants and the organizers actively exchanged opinions on the application of training participants etc.

Afterwards, a case study on emergency situation was conducted with a participatory setting. Assuming that there was a serious illness of a participant, the participants and organizers discussed necessary responses and preparations. Meanwhile experiences of emergencies in the past were shared respectively by MFA and JICA.

The participants felt that the Workshop was an eye-opener: they reaffirmed the importance of communication among relevant parties of TCTP on both day-to-day tasks and emergencies.
