Islamabad, November 07, 2016: Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) dispatched 10 members group for "Economic Development Course" to Japan under the "Training Programme for Young Leaders". For this 18 days course, a sendoff ceremony was organized today in a local hotel at Islamabad.
Mr. Yasuhiro Tojo, in his speech said to the participants "Through this programme, you are expected to acquire a broad range of knowledge about the activities on industrial development in Japan. You will have the opportunities to share the relevant information with Japanese people engaged in economic development and also to understand various efforts and challenges. Through this programme, you are expected to learn Japanese experience and the factors of economic development in Japan, in order to reflect industrial development policy and activities in Pakistan".
This "Training Programme for Young Leaders of Pakistan" is initiated by the Government of Japan under technical cooperation scheme for Pakistan. The forthcoming course has been designed essentially for young leading officials for basic education administration sector of the provincial and federal government in Pakistan. The Programme was started by JICA in 1991 and till date around 560 government officials of various ministries and departments of the Government of Pakistan visited Japan in various fields of technical and management positions.
