PSBM: Education Planning Training to lead the schools

PELITA keeps conducting with many activities in 2010. One of those activities is Education Planning Trainingwhich was taken place in SMPN 1 Ciruas, Kabupaten Serang on 26 Mei 2010 and participated by 109 teachers of SMP and MTs. This event was attended by Secretary of Dinas Pendidikan, Head of Curriculum Section, Pengawas in Kabupaten Serang, and field consultants.

The purpose of this training is to make schools able to arrange a good proposal for PELITA, as well as mention clear target and concept about the education. In the training it is also explained how to analyze the condition of school based on the process of inputs, process, and outputs.

Education problem analysis in school or kecamatan is necessary. In other words, schools need to identify their problems. The first step is to compare their condition with the ideal condition. From the gap of those conditions, schools have to set up priority scale in order to find out which problems are most important. Lastly, schools can make an action plan. By that means, policies chosen by school can be directed them to get a good achievement.

Another important thing is there should be a good understanding between the government, principals, teachers, students, parents, and school committees about the good concept of school.

Numbers of teacher were so enthusiastic in that event. One of the teachers participated in the training is Dedi Nurholis, teacher of MTsN Ciruas said “PELITA gives positive impact in improving student’s quality. We have done some activities which are funded by PELITA such as class meeting, or training for information and technology”.
