PSBM: Monitoring of MTs Terpadu Darul Huda Cikoneng, Pandeglang District

On September 1, 2010, PELITA JICA team went to monitor the SMP and MTs in Pandeglang District which are receiving JICA funds.  One of them is MTs Terpadu Darul Huda Cikoneng.

In MTs Terpadu Darul Huda Cikoneng, the monitoring team conducted interview with Principal, teachers and representative of school committee.  The school was founded in 2009 and joined PELITA since this year.  The school has 72 students in first and second grade and has no public transportation passing by the school. Although the car could pass the school, the street is very small in bad condition and bumpy.  If it rains, the road will be inundated by water.

One of the most interesting activities in this school is a life skill of making tempeh.  When the team PELITA visited to the school, students are making tempeh.  It turns out that Tempeh requires a long process. Making processes consist of boiling soybean, peeling, soaking, inoculating with yeast and fermentation.  The spirit of enthusiastic was seen on students' face when they work for.  The purpose of this activity is to give students the life skill ability for after graduating from junior high school.

At the end of the meeting, principal said that the support of PELITA had given them the chance to conduct life skills activities.  He hopes this support will not end this year, 2009.  In addition, he said, not only school received the fund, but also better school administration and management through making proposals and financial reports.

PhotoMeterials were arrayed along the process of tempeh.
