From August 3 to 5, 2011, ARP Residential Meeting, participated by 11 field level FD counterparts and one headquarter level FD counterpart, was conducted using facilities of CFDTC (Central Forestry Development and Training Centre*) located in Hmawbi, the suburb of Yangon.

ARP is the main activity of Output 3 (Some silvicultural techniques for the rehabilitation and the management of the mangrove and its associated forests for the Ayeyawady Delta are established), and many field trail were conducted since 2008. As the final output of the Output 3, the Project is required to consolidate various silvicultural techniques tested so far into "Technical Guideline" and " Technical Report" from the aspect of practicability. In order to do so, the residential meeting was aimed to share experiences gained from ARP activities and to confirm/ discuss about practical techniques among field level FD counterparts.

Up to now, field level counterparts who spread and work in three different townships never had an opportunity to get together and share as well as discuss about ARP. Therefore during this residential meeting, counterparts were able to actively discuss about "definition of ground level", "self evaluation of tested ARP techniques" and "objective/goal-wise practical silvicultural techniques (based on ARP evaluation)".

The Project will proceed the consolidation of technical guideline and technical report for the project target area, reflecting the results of this ARP residential meeting.
