Planting Trees on "Arbor Day"

In commemoration of Arbor Day on May 15, 2008, trees were planted at two schools in the Project's object area, namely Boqueron Arriba and Boqueron Abajo elementary schools.  In the Boqueron Abajo school, not only the students' parents but also the group members participated in planting trees and also helped with cutting weeds and digging holes for the trees.

Through these activities we hope to not only teach the children the importance of trees and forests by word, but to also give them the experience to learn how to plant and care for trees.
