Educational Tours from other Countries visit our Project

In January and March of 2011, Project Alhajuela received JICA-related groups on an educational tour from Guatelama and from Honduras, respectively.

A total of 11 persons, including the expert Mr. Hanawa, C/P's and JICA office personnel, came from the "Project for Capacity Strengthening of Local Governments to Reduce Poverty" (January 26 and 27) implemented by JICA in Guatemala. From Honduras 5 persons came (March 9 to 11) from the National Electric Energy Company of Honduras and from the JICA Honduras office.

For both visits, the Project's C/P's took the initiative in preparing for the visitors, presenting an outline of the Project to them, visiting the farmer groups together see their activities and holding an exchange of opinions. We hope that the experiences gained by both visitor groups in our Project will contribute to their future activities. It also appears that the experience of welcoming visitors to our Project was a good opportunity for the C/P's to reflect upon their own activities.
