Seminar held on the "Extension Guidebook"

On October 28, 2009, we invited the interested personnel from ANAM (National Environmental Authority), such as those in charge of watershed conservation, and held a seminar on the “Extension Guidebook”, which we had published in June of this year. It was a relatively long seminar lasting from 9:30am to 4:00pm, but we received many favorable opinions from participants, even during the question and answer session. Personnel from the JICA Panama office also participated in the seminar to learn of the advances made by the Project.

At the beginning of the seminar, the Project’s Chief Advisor, Mr. Sakai, gave a short presentation on the “background of the Project and the purpose for making the Guidebook.” This was followed by presentations made by the C/P explaining the contents and use of each chapter. In order to give the C/P the opportunity to make technical transfer to persons outside the Project, the Japanese experts took a backseat role in this seminar. We would like to express our gratitude to all the C/P who gave the presentations in the seminar. You can see their photos below.
