1st Joint Coordinating Committee

The 1st Joint Coordinating Committee (JCC) was held on October 31, 2006 with the attendance of Vietnamese side and Japanese side members concerning with the Project.

From Japanese side, besides Project’s Japanese members, we welcomed the attendance of Mr Wantanabe masao, Deputy Resident Representative of JICA Vietnam.

Besides, we also welcomed the presence of Mr. Le Xuan Director of Department of agriculture & rural development of So La Province and PMU members from four Project target areas all came to attend the meeting as observers.

From Vietnamese Government, high-ranked officers came to attend the meeting, including Dr. Nguyen Dang Vang Director of Department of Livestock Production – MARD (Chairman of the meeting), Mr. Nguyen Anh Minh, program officer of International Cooperation Department (ICD) and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, officer of ICD.
From NIAH and Bavi center, Dr. Hoang Van Tieu, Dr. Vu Chi Cuong, Mr. Le Trong Lap, Mr Tang Xuan Luu came to attend the meeting as Project’s members. All Project’s counterparts also joined the meeting.

In the meeting, the Coordinating Committee authorized an annual working plan of the Project based on the Plan of Operation (PO) within the framework of Record of discussion (RD). Monitored and evaluated the progress of the Project and the results of the annual working plan and discussed and advised the major issues that arise during the implementation of the project. Presented the progress of the project covering from April to September 2006. During the discussion all member talked about the content of PDM, PO and give many different ideas to adjust some indicators in the PDM. Finally, the JCC approved the suitable adjustment of PDM,and those adjustment would be added in PDM for the 2008 JCC discussion.
