NT training on feeding and management

From 12 March to 7 June 2007, Mr. Kudo Kazuhiro was dispatched as a short term expert on “feeding and management”. Firstly, he made basic animal inventory of four selected demonstration farms in Ba vi and collected the basic data from the records of Bavi center to see the real situation of dairy farms in this area. He also visited Moc Chau – a project target area and Moncada AI center with the guidance of Dr. Moriyama Hiromitsu – a long-term expert on feeding and management respectively.

Regarding Lecture for NTs, he used presentation slides, copy materials from Japanese and English textbooks to explain on some of the important topics. The topics included were: Feeding and rumen function, stage feeding, Body condition score, body measurement, nutrition requirements, formulating diet, and so on.
