The Project Management Unit (PMU) meeting on 26th February, 2008 (the second PMU meeting of the project)

The second Project Management Unit (PMU) meeting for the project of Improvement of Dairy Productive Technology in Small and Medium Scale Dairy Farms in Vietnam (The project) was held on February 26, 2008 with participation of representatives from project’s target areas and the project.

Target area side:

• Mr. Bui Minh Hong, Vice Chairman of Vinh Tuong People Committee
• Mr. Le Nhu Tuan, Vice Director of Thanh Hoa DARD
• Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tuong, Director of Livestock Department, Hung Yen DARD

Project side:

• Mr. Tang Xuan Luu, Director of STED
• Mr. Norio Saito, JICA project’s Chief Advisor
• Mr. Shimizu Yoshihiru, Project’s Coordinator

During the meeting, the revision of the content of the Project Design Matrix, the Plan of Operation, the Annual Plan of Operation for the year 2008 & the adjustment of the Project Target Areas were discussed. Representatives from target areas agreed some revisions and adjustments suggested by the project and submitted their recommendations regarding to project’s activities in their areas. Basing on their recommendations, most project activities in target areas were effective however, there were some those had not been reached completely results in real condition in local areas yet. Thus, they required the project continue its effective activities meanwhile deal with limited ones.

The meeting closed at 12.30 of the same day.
