The Joint Coordinating Committee (JCC) meeting on 16th April, 2008 (the second JCC meeting of the project)

The second Joint Coordinating Committee (JCC) meeting for the project of Improvement of Dairy Productive Technology in Small and Medium Scale Dairy Farms in Vietnam (The project) was held on April 16, 2008 with both the Vietnamese and Japanese sides in attendance.

Vietnamese side:

  • Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Nhien, Vice Director of NIVR

  • Mr. Phung Quoc Quang, Vice Director of National Extension Center

Japanese side:

The chairwoman of the meeting is Ms. Hoang Thi Dung, Deputy Director, ICD, MARD.

During the meeting, the revision of the content of the Project Design Matrix, the Plan of Operation, the Annual Plan of Operation for the year 2008 & especially the adjustment of the Project Target Areas were submitted and approved. In the beginning, the project includes 4 target areas: Moc Chau, Vinh Tuong, Thanh Hoa, Hung Yen; after this meeting, the project would have 2 target areas: Moc Chau & Vinh Tuong; 2 cooperation areas: Thanh Hoa & Hung Yen. Almost main activities of the project would be carried out in 2 target areas. However, 2 cooperation areas could continue to send their local technicians to the project’s training and raise their requests of holding farmer seminars by the project in their areas.

The meeting closed at 12.30 of the same day.
