Reproductive Technology training course for local technicians in STED from 25th to 29th August, 2008

To meet the demand of greenhorn local technicians in the project target areas in August 2008, the project held a training course of Reproductive Technology with the same content of 2007. However, this training course required National Trainers (NTs) to be able to make training materials & presentations based on available subjects and practices. In the words, the lecturers of this training course were not only the project expert but including the project’s counterparts also. The training period was lasted from 25th to 29th August, 2008 for participants from the project’s target areas: Moc chau & Vinh Tuong, from the project’s cooperation areas: Thanh Hoa & Hung Yen and others: Bavi if possible.

During training period, participants not only were supplied theory in Reproductive Physiology, Anatomy of Reproductive Tracts, Diagnosis & Treatment of Reproductive Disorders, Rectal Palpation & Recording Method, Diagnosis & Treatment of Reproductive Disorders, Early Pregnancy Diagnosis, Obstetrics, Calving Assistance, Peri-Parturient Diseases, Nutrient and Reproductive Disorder but also they had chance to practice on Anatomy of Reproductive Tracts, Rectal Palpation Method, Recording Method of Reproductive Examination, Early Pregnancy Diagnosis, Ultrasonography in real bodies in farms & especially to observe on Handling of Frozen Semen, Assessment of Frozen Semen in Moncada Center.

At the end of the training courses, participants who participated more than 70% of training time & had good studying attitude during the course could receive a certificate approved by Director of National Institute of Animal Husbandry, Chief advisor of the project and Director of Station for Training & Extension on Dairy Techniques.
