  • From 1 to 6 June, LT training course on Feeds Analysis and Feeding method was conducted at STED, Bavi center, with total attendants of around 14 coming from Large Animal Center, Bavidistrict, MocChaudairy company and ThanhHoaand Hung Yen provinces.
The training course aims at providing participants with the knowledge about:
    • The role of feed and feeding in rearing cattle.
    • Water content in roughage, the importance of checking water content in roughage.
    • The cattle’s demand and how to calculate the ration to satisfy the demand.
    • Feeds are available and the real situation in using them in some areas.
  • More importantly, in the course, practices were always integrated with theory so that participants could really see how to apply what they have learnt into real farming conditions (participants were divided into groups and went to certain farms to find out about the feeds being used in those farms, observe the cattle and ask the farmers with questions for information collection, then each group of participants made the rations for each group of cattle (heifer, in lactation, drying) in a chosen farm based on the feeds evaluation and each cattle’s information, and finally made presentation about the ration and discussed at the end of the training course).
