Open a booth at cow festival in Moc Chau

Event

Annually, Moc Chau Dairy Company organizes a Cow festival on 15th October. The festival aimed to promote dairy farming in the area and encourage dairy farmers. The festival also provided an opportunity for the farmers to learn from each other, exchange ideas and experiences about dairy farming.

JICA project opened a booth in the festival to introduce the farmer about the project activities as well as distribute manual and leaflets for enhancing the knowledge of the farmer. More than 200 leaflets were distributed during the festival.

The Miss Cow winner as grand champion of 2009 belonged to the cow number 04484 of Mr. Pham Van Tao. The Miss cow 2009 was more beautiful than the previous year. The cow’s appearance was very proportionate, with 10-month milking cycle, and milk yield was 12 tons per cycle. (This had been the highest milk yield since the competition was first held in 2003).
